- Condo and multi-residential EV programs
- Fleet depot charging infrastructure
- EVEMS load management systems
- Service entrance upgrades for EV load
- LDC load addition applications
- Networked EVSE commissioning
Commercial EV Charging Services
Every project is different. We assess your site, design the right system, and execute it start to finish — no subcontracting the electrical work.
Parking Lot & Garage EV Charging
Multi-stall Level 2 EV charging for commercial parking lots, underground garages, and surface lots. We handle electrical design, trenching coordination, conduit, panel work, and charger installation from end to end.
- Multi-stall 240V Level 2 EVSE
- Trenching and conduit layout
- Sub-panel and service upgrades
- Weatherproof outdoor enclosures
- Bollard and pedestal mounting
DC Fast Charging (Level 3)
High-power DC fast chargers (50kW to 350kW) for retail destinations, highway corridors, and commercial sites where rapid turnaround matters. We size the service entrance, coordinate with the LDC for load additions, and commission the units.
- 50kW to 350kW DCFC stations
- Service entrance upgrades to 600V
- LDC application and coordination
- Cable management and protection
- Network connectivity setup
Condo & Multi-Residential EV Charging
Condo boards and property managers across the GTA rely on us for resident EV charging programs. We design shared-infrastructure systems that minimize cost per unit and scale as demand grows.
- Common element charging stations
- Suite-dedicated sub-metered circuits
- EVEMS for load balancing
- Condo board proposal support
- Ontario EVEMS compliance (29th Ed.)
Fleet Depot Charging
Electrify your commercial or municipal fleet. We design charging depots for vans, trucks, buses, and specialty vehicles — sized for your duty cycle, overnight dwell time, and future fleet growth.
- Fleet load analysis and sizing
- High-capacity service upgrades
- Simultaneous multi-vehicle charging
- Scheduled charging management
- Scalable infrastructure design
EVEMS Load Management
Ontario's 29th Edition Electrical Safety Code now mandates Electric Vehicle Energy Management Systems for many commercial installations. We design and install EVEMS that dynamically balance EV load against your building's existing demand.
- OESC 29th Edition EVEMS compliance
- Dynamic load balancing
- Demand charge optimization
- Integration with existing BAS
- Utility rate monitoring
Networked Smart Charging
We install and commission networked EVSE (ChargePoint, FLO, Siemens, ABB, BTC Power) with payment processing, remote monitoring, access control, and usage reporting — everything a commercial operator needs.
- ChargePoint and FLO certified
- Payment processing integration
- Remote diagnostics and monitoring
- RFID and app-based access
- Usage and billing reports
One Contractor. Everything Included.
Most EV charging companies are equipment resellers who sub out the electrical work. Safer Electric is a licensed electrical contractor first. We own the whole scope — service upgrades, panel work, conduit, EVEMS, and the chargers themselves. One contract, one accountable party.
Brands we install: ChargePoint, FLO, Siemens, ABB, BTC Power, Tesla Wall Connector, JuiceBox Pro, Eaton — and others. We are not tied to one manufacturer. We recommend what suits your site and budget.
ESA-Licensed for Commercial Work
Every installation is permitted and inspected. We hold ESA Pre-Approval status, meaning most of our work closes without a third-party inspection delay.
Full-Scope Electrical
We are not just a charger install crew. We handle the service entrance upgrade, distribution panel, sub-panels, conduit, branch circuits, and the EVSE — one contractor, one invoice.
EVEMS & Load Management
Ontario's 29th Edition OESC introduced strict EVEMS requirements. We design compliant systems that protect your transformer and keep demand charges in check.
LDC Coordination
Large EV installations often require a load addition application with the local distribution company. We prepare the application, submit it, and follow up — you do not have to manage that relationship.

Commercial EV Charging FAQs
How many chargers can we add to our parking lot?
It depends on your existing electrical service capacity and your utility connection. We start with a load analysis to understand what your service can support today, then design a phased plan that lets you add stalls as demand grows — without overbuilding upfront.
Do we need to upgrade our electrical service for a large EV charging installation?
Usually yes, for anything beyond a handful of Level 2 stalls. The extent of the upgrade depends on your existing service size and building load. In many cases, EVEMS load management can defer or reduce the size of the service upgrade needed — which is a significant cost saving.
What is EVEMS and do we need it?
EVEMS (Electric Vehicle Energy Management System) is a load control system that prevents EV charging from exceeding the building's available capacity. Ontario's 29th Edition Electrical Safety Code now mandates EVEMS for commercial installations above a certain threshold. We design and install compliant EVEMS as part of every applicable project.
Can you coordinate the rebate and incentive paperwork?
Yes. Commercial EV charging projects in Ontario may qualify under the federal iMHZEV program and the Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP). We can identify which programs apply to your project and assist with the technical documentation required.
How long does a commercial EV charging installation take?
A straightforward 4 to 8 stall Level 2 installation typically takes 2 to 4 days of on-site work. Larger projects with service upgrades, LDC coordination, and trenching can take 2 to 6 weeks depending on LDC queue times. We give you a realistic schedule upfront.
